Adriana Spina - Quick Review

We would like to introduce you to a bright, little star in the making - a very talented, passionate about her music singer-songwriter, Adriana Spina.

Adriana is an Italian-Scots performer, who is just launching her debut album "Never Coming Home" with guest appearances of David Scott (of Pearlfishers) and Donald Shaw (of Capercaillie).

Her music can be best described as a mixture of mesmerizing Americana, with a dose of folk and a pinch of melodic pop/rock. Audience, who enjoys listening to artists such as Faith Hill or Taylor Swift, will most definitely find pleasure in experiencing the songs of this young singer-songwriter.

Adriana's captivating voice is beautifully showcased in her song "Coming Home", where she skilfully carries the melody, making it calm and soft like an angel's mist in verses, and then swaying to a more firm, stronger sounding message of choruses. The vocal harmonies are deliciously weaved into strumming guitar patterns, making the song even more interesting and transcendental. One's imagination may start drifting away whilst listening to the compositions of this talented performer, as it's ambience truly takes the audience to another, serene and calm place.

But there is also a more edgy, bluesy, up-beat side to the Italian-Scots singer's music, which is brilliantly presented in such songs like "A Thousand Lives" or "Way Down" where, accompanied by rough electric guitars, Adriana proves to feel as much confident as in her subtle, softer music pieces.

In order to experience the songs and learn a little more about the artist, please go to her MySpace page, Reverbnation or Official Website. Also, remember to follow her on Twitter, and become a fan on Facebook!

The album launch gig is taking place 18th June at Stereo in Glasgow and tickets are available from Tickets Scotland at 239 Argyle Street, Glasgow.
